Five months after this survey of 409 citizens, the following was issued.
October 14, 2002 A letter to the residents of Goddard and Sandburg
From: Department of Community Service

"... the addition of new lighting on the athletic fields at Goddard and Sandburg
Middle Schools. Installing lighting on those fields will enable the Community Services
Department to better serve youth sports programs – which was a key need identified
through a series of community workshops and a random survey of 400 area residents.

Glendorans can expect an additional 1,500 hours *...

The survey was taken to gather Glendorans perceptions of how the city’s active and
passive parks and wilderness areas are meeting their recreational needs."

*Note: 1,500 hours equates to over four (4) hours per day for an entire year
(365 days) every day, Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri and Sat.  Does that mean
in the summer months lights be on until midnight every night?

As Mark Twain said "Get your facts straight, then distort them"

"Less than 10% of Glendora Citizens Play on Sports Parks"
Makes one wonder where all of the users are coming from!
