5. PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
5A Frank Meyers, a Glendora resident, spoke
against the proposed lighting at
the athletic
fields at Sandburg and Goddard Schools and Charter Oak park.
5B Victoria Hinton, a Glendora resident, spoke
against the proposed lighting
at Goddard
School, citing increased traffic, noise, lights and litter.
5C Corrine Delgado, a Glendora resident, spoke
against the proposed lighting at Goddard and
Sandburg, stating she is not opposed to youth sports.
5E David Houston, a Glendora resident, spoke against the proposed additional
lighting at
Goddard. He said existing lights are sometimes left on throughout the night
and glare into his
home.
5H Stacey Segura, a Glendora resident,
spoke against the proposed lighting
at Sandburg
School and urged Council to put an end to this proposal.
12. COUNCIL AND STAFF ITEMS
12A Councilmember Hamlow said there has been no community
support for lights at Goddard and Sandburg Schools and he requested that the
Community Services Commission be instructed to provide reasons to continue
discussion on the lights. The request was seconded by Councilmember Herman.
